Helping An Established Distributor Start Up and Manage Social Media
The Challenge: After providing seafood to the region’s top restaurants for seven decades, seafood processor and distributor Santa Monica Seafood was ready to get started with social media. As their website vendor I was well positioned to assist with online marketing and social media. After listening carefully to the client’s long-term marketing goals, I suggested several social media platforms be established, including Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.
The Solution: I selected a twitter username, designed a branded graphics and made the account colors consistent with the client’s branding. I wrote numerous tweets and created custom branded image posts to coordinate with company and industry events. I provided consulting, analytics analysis, and team training. Once the company blog was live we added a link to the blog to encourage readership and subscriptions. Also created Facebook pages for retail and foodservice divisions, designing and creating the pages, and developed custom tab applications. Assisted with strategy and training for post content, timing and frequency.
